One of the teachers at Independence, Miss Stephanie, has a small farm with a pumpkin patch right by our school! On Monday, we walked over to the pumpkin patch with our friends from Miss Stephanie's and Miss Erin's classrooms. We have been talking about harvesting and what it takes to grow a pumpkin patch. It was fun to be able to explore an actual pumpkin patch and see where the pumpkins grow. We also got to sit on a John Deer tractor, and even pick a small gourd to bring home with us. Most of the pumpkins we saw were still green. It has not been sunny enough to turn them all orange yet! We had a lot of fun!!

Fall!

The first few weeks of school were a blast. As we shift gears into Autumn, there are lots of fun Fall things that we have done in school. We made leaf creations at the art table, we learned an October song that we sing everyday, and we even got to have an apple tasting! We got the chance to try a red apple, a green apple, and a yellow apple and then decide which one we liked the best. Last week, we even got to play alphabet bingo! We have so much fun learning and playing in school.

Stay tuned because there will be pictures up soon!
